MARY Christmas

Luke 1:45, "Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things, which were told her from the Lord."

As we celebrate the birth of our Risen Lord and Savior, let's be mindful of the woman who endured pain, isolation, and desolation to bring forth the Son of God who would go on to die so that we may have life and live more abundantly. No matter where you stand or sit, know that God is moving on your behalf in every season of your life. Things may not be well, but all things will work together for your good! The same Jesus who abode within Mary, abides withing you and me. The scripture tells us that Mary was BLESSED because she BELIEVED. If you believe, you will be blessed beyond what your eyes may see and your heart can perceive. No matter what load you are carrying, understand that God will addeth no sorrow and there will be a fulfillment of those things which He told you. God isn't like man, He doesn't speak just to hear Himself talk:) See your way through and believe your way into your blessing. MARY Christmas to all!

"Tis the Season"

Ecclesiastes 3:1, "To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven."

Happy Holidays!! 2012 has been an exciting year of growth and exposure and with any good thing there will come a few bad. We have to be ever so careful to give God all the glory for the good as well as the bad. As you go and growth forth in the holiday season, always remember the REASON for the SEASON. We often get caught up in the SEASON and forget our SAVIOR. Jesus was born so that we may have life and life more abundantly. It's always the right time to do the right thing and in this Season of Giving, let's focus on being a blessing to others and less on receiving blessings from others. God gave us HIS ONLY begotten Son and as long as we have breath in our bodies, we have to abide in the spirit of sacrifice. To much that is given, much is required- we should all strive to make our requirements. Have a blessed Christmas season and continue to look to the hills from where your true help comes from! Greater is coming!!!

"Thinking and Thanking God"

Matthew 25:23, "His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord."

Happy Harvest Month!! It's time we all THINK and THANK God for all the valleys, storms and hardships He has brought us to and through:) 2012 has been the YEAR of ELECTION not just in the White House, but also in OUR HOUSE. We have to continue our personal campaigns and do so in a way that is pleasing to God and our families. There has been much destruction over the land, but God is good and God is God. We have so much to be thankful for and we should take every opportunity to thank God for keeping us safe, healthy and in our right mind. Some people would love to have somewhere to lay their head and others would give the world to be able to simply stand up and move their legs. My grandmother says, "We will understand it better by and by" and I believe it is safe to say that the "by and by" is here and we have to be ever so careful of treating folks right and being good stewards. November is the Month of Thanksgiving and most of us spend that special day declaring how thankful we are for what we have, but wake up the following morning to spend money and fight people over items we truly don't need. 12 is a very special number, it is the order of government and the number Jesus had in mind when He chose his disciples and the number of completion for the woman with the issue of blood. 2012 is shortly coming to an end and it's not too late to work on being the NEW YOU that you said you would be this NEW YEAR:) Above all, be faithful and respectful over what you have and in due season God will make you in authority over things you want:)

"Fall Into Favor"

As we enter into the Harvest Season, let's take time to reflect on the goodness of our God and
the seasons we have endured patiently while waiting for our blessings. September is the month of transition that leads to our last trimester of the year.  Fall is the season where
we look forward to adjusting the climatic atmosphere in our homes and a time where we enjoy

the beautiful landscapes of nature, walks in the park, and enjoy the sweet smell of cinnamon, apples, and pumpkin. I encourage you to spiritually shift your atmosphere by examining the friendships, relationships, your marriage, career, family life, etc...to discern what God would have you to do or not do in each capacity. What I love about Fall is how nature QUIETLY rids itself of things that are not necessary for it to survive, such as leaves and the dying of grass.  Jesus made it very clear to His Disciples that there is plenty of GOODIES for them to receive, but a conscious effort had to be made to receive His GOODNESS. As with anything in life, we receive the fruits of the seeds we have planted whether they be good or bad. Let's walk forth in the Spirit of Excellency as Jesus commands and pray that we are able to partake in the Fullness of God and the overflowing of our cups:) Always remember, God is always near to CATCH you in your FALL seasons:)

Collards and Cornbread

Acts 2:46, "Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple and courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts."

Traditions are the hallmark of every family and we have to be ever so careful of ensuring that we pass them down in a healthy manner to our children and families. Tradition is a deep southern way of life and we have to be mindful of recognizing that all traditions aren't healthy and should be aborted if they don't bring peace and joy to the recipients involved. My family has a tradition of eating collards and cornbread and although I haven't MASTERED the art of cooking collards, I understand the CONCEPT! In today's society, the passing along of recipes, books, Sunday worship, having fellowship, and Bible Study are becoming ENDANGERED JOYS and the value of these traditions aren't seen as invaluable as they were to our grandparent's generation. We live in a microwave society where if things don't happen quickly, we don't want them. The beauty in tradition is that they are developed over time and with love. I encourage young couples with young families to meditate on some of the traditions you desire to pass along to your children and start creating ones of your own. They don't have to be all "deep and spiritual," it can be as simple as taking a nap after church or going to the park to walk on a designated day of the week. I look forward to my afternoon chats with my husband about my goals and dreams while we eat ice-cream:) Always remember, fellowship is good for the soul and it's not about the activity that matters, it's about coming together in a good place with a glad heart. Be blessed and encouraged:)

"To Have And to Hold"

August is the month of new beginnings and this month will mark my 7th year wedding anniversary on August 15th and my husband's birthday on August 16th. I treasure each day, moment, and season with the love of my life because I realize in this society, marriages are microwavable and aren't taken as sacred nor serious as former generations considered them. I reflect on the vows I made to my husband at the tender age of 20 daily, however during the month of celebration I carefully examine them and determine where I stand in fulfilling our agreement. This year as I read over the vows, "To Have And To Hold" struck a cord in my heart. Many desire to HAVE a spouse, but to HOLD on to one is work that most are unwilling to fulfill. As I reflect on the times we have endured as best-friends, lovers, and parents, it amazes me how we have grown over the years and the strength we have allowed each other to gather in the times of storms. I treasure my marriage and it has truly sharpened me into the woman I am today. To those who are waiting on God to send your other half, I encourage you to become the better half that you seek.  Always remember, Love is a beautiful feeling when it is first felt towards the person that desires to be the recipient of it.

Prayer, Pennies, Peanut Butter

Philippians 4:12, "I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need."

We live in a society where people feel they are entitled to have the "best" of everything without having to suffer anything. Those who have the most usually are those who have lived off the least. Along our journey, we have to embrace our life lessons and find the blessing in each lesson we encounter. Paul stated in Philippians 4:12 that he knew both how to be abased and how to abound in every situation and circumstance he had to endure. Being abased comes through a process where God humbles us to the core to show us WHO we are and WHOSE we are. We should appreciate the times where we only have prayer, pennies and peanut butter to live on. These are teaching times and we can and will make it once we realize that God-not man is the source of our strength. No matter how far you go in life, always remember the 3 P's (Prayer, Pennies, and Peanut Butter)

Prayer is essential in every season of your life, even Jesus had to pray to make Satan flee and He teaches us that we have to pray without ceasing. You can never have enough prayer for your spiritual intake.

Pennies-We can't abound until we have been abased. Always count your pennies and respect the value of a dollar. Money isn't easy to come by nor is it hard to spend. Find a good balance and spend wisely.

Peanut Butter-Peanut butter represents the staple of our households. Focus on the basic necessities in this season of your life. You may not have everything you want, but God will ensure you have everything you need. Peanut butter and jelly ain't never killed nobody:)

Spring (Spiritual) Cleaning

It's Spring Cleaning Time!!! We often associate spring cleaning with tidying up and removing items that we don't need nor desire to carry into the next season of our lives. I encourage you to do a thorough SPIRITUAL CLEANSING in this season of your life. Take inventory of relationships, friendships, careers, family members, and circumstances that you encounter on a daily basis and determine are they needs or wants and if their time of access has run its course. Label each person in your life according to the position  and purpose they serve and name them honestly.  Genesis 2:20 says, "So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him." Every person that you have allowed to have access into your life should serve a purpose and position. Who are the cattle, birds, and the beasts in your life?
(Cattle) friends don't require much from you, they give of themselves freely, easy to maintain relationship with and they are willing to go to the chopping block with or for you.
(Bird) friends are meek and humble people who don't mind being in the background of your success. They are willing to help you build privately and they are preservers.
(Beast) friends are all about themselves and what you can do to further their agenda. They take from you and are busy bodies who seek to feast off of your work and worth.

As you go forth in your spiritual cleansing, don't take short cuts and do it from a professional-not personal perspective. Good luck to you and remember the secret ingredient to ensuring that you don't miss any spots is prayer-it works every time!!!

"How Are You....Really???"

We often go through our seasons and days without analyzing our physical and well-being. When people ask us how we are doing, some say "Blessed and Highly Favored," others say "I'm good and you"-if the truth were told, we often don't feel blessed nor highly favored nor are "we good." Not only are we at fault, those who ask are as well because they naturally assume that we are going to say all is well. What do you say when things aren't good and you don't feel well....meditate on this notion and see what you come up with:) We have to always be prepared to have a word for the words of others. As Sons and Daughters of the King, we have a spiritual obligation to encourage ourselves and others in the Lord. We should always have a word hidden in our hearts for those we may encounter. The reality is, we are all going through one thing or another and stability is a non-renewable resource for most, however we have to stay focused, keep moving, and encouraging ourselves in the Lord. God didn't promise us that things would always come together, but He did assure us that all things will work together (Romans 8:28). Whatever situation or circumstance you may find yourself in or leaving, know that the impossible is possible and God will test you to show you how He uses impossible situations to prove to us that He is a possible God! The next time someone asks you how you are, feel and deal with your emotions and be honest:) You can't go forth until you feel and deal with your inner being:) Be blessed and encouraged!!

"Are You Celebrated Or Tolerated......."

May is my favorite month of the entire year and (yes it's because it's my birthday month) and also we have the opportunity  to celebrate milestones, new blessings, graduations, and Mother's Day. May is month 5 and 5 is the spiritual number that represents grace and mercy. No matter where we are in our current lives, we all need some grace and mercy to carry us through the good and the bad times! As we go and grow forth in May, let us reflect on the dreams we have placed in the very back of our hearts and on the plans that God has for our lives. Always remember, God's plans are planned. We often attend other folks' celebrations in May and honor those who have cultivated us, but I encourage those who encourage others to walk by faith and not by fright! Pray and seek God for understanding on the steps He desires for you to take in this new season of your life. As you lean not on your own understanding, pay attention to the things that God is bringing to your attention to give you an understanding. Are you celebrated or simply tolerated by those in your circle, family, relationships, marriages, etc...If people can't appreciate your worth and the work that God is doing in you and through you, it's time to re-examine. Rejuvenation ain't never hurt anyone nor has growth. It's about time for you to start celebrating yourself and those around you to do the same. We know people by the fruits they bare, check the insides of folks and watch closely as they unravel.  Going forth requires that you peel back levels and devils who don't have your best interests. Don't be afraid to walk forth into your purpose and as people fall back, you continue to go forth. Don't stay anywhere that you are only tolerated and not celebrated. Be blessed and encouraged!

"Get Me a Plate To Go, Please"

John 6:12, "So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, "Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost."

There will be seasons of lack we all will have to encounter and how we position ourselves is directly tied to the success of our obedience. Obedience is truly better than sacrifice. Jesus had just finished feeding the 5,000 men who were accounted for, however the women and children were not calculated. We often are quick to leave a venue when we feel we aren't noticed or when we feel we should have been on the VIP list. We have to be ever so careful of focusing on being counted in by man and less concerned about being counted out by God. Ask God to show you the season you are currently in through His eyes and not your own. We are to walk by faith and not by what our enemies want us to see. Even those who walk with the Lord may question the hand you have been dealt with as they did Jesus, but know that God is always willing to make the most of  the hand He has dealt you! To man, they only could see 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread, however God saw an opportunity to provide His children with the overflow of His blessings! Don't be quick to leave the scene without receiving the overflow of what God has for you-stay and wait patiently for your to-go plate! When God blesses you, it's His desire to allow your cup to not just be filled, but to run completely over! God wants you SATISFIED-not FULL. Waiting on overflow may seem BENEATH you, but I assure you nothing is ABOVE God!

"Don't Even Go There!!!"

John 8:14-15, "Jesus answered and said to them, "Even if I bear witness of Myself, My Witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from and where I am going. You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one."

No matter how we try to convey our circumstances, past, and blessings from God to others, they will never truly understand where you have came from, but more importantly the place God is taking you. Your story is your intimate relationship and encounters with God and we can't expect those around us nor in our families and inner circles to fully understand nor appreciate the magnitude of our pains, struggles, and triumphs. Jesus told the crowd that even if He were to tell them of how He became who He was and how God was using Him, they would take issue with Him and find fault because they were judging Him according to their flesh instead of in the spirit. Jesus made it clear to them that in spite of how they may perceived Him and the task and journey God called Him to do, He wasn't going to come down to their level nor would He judge them for being ignorant. Understand that we have to appreciate our testimonies and journey in spite of others having to say something about it and not appreciating the work God is doing in us and through us.  Most who bring up your past, don't have a clear understanding of where they should be presently. Make no apologies for your growth and know that no matter how you try to make people "get you"-they won't. That's why we have to always be ever so so careful of growing in the Lord and maintaining our relationship with Him and not Them. God is the author and finisher of your faith, meaning He "gets you" because He "created you." He already knows your story and what you will have to endure. Maintain an attitude of gratitude with Him and by doing so the concern you have for others understanding you will weaken because your mind will become strengthened in peace out of your efforts to keep your focus steadfast on God.

"Common Sense ain't Common"

Job 28:12, "But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?"

We often go about our daily lives trying to figure out why people don't use common sense and we attempt to get an understanding of how they come up with the foolishness they present to us. Wisdom is a gift from God, however understanding is given freely to those who are willing to seek it. The Bible tells us in all things to get an understanding. Lack of understanding causes a heap of drama that can easily be avoided by us being persistent in seeking God's Counsel. We often focus on the Gossip of others instead of focusing on the Gospel of Christ. Wisdom and understanding are weapons of mass destruction for those who attain them. God is pleased when we ask Him for things we NEED instead of what we WANT. God moves swiftly when we seek Him concerning gifts that will enlarge His Kingdom and our Territory. Also, God gives His wisdom freely. You can study any person in the Bible who asked God for wisdom and the pattern you will soon discover is that He granted them wisdom instantly. King Solomon could have asked for anything when He received the favor of God over his life, but out of wisdom Solomon knew he would need something to carry Him in the long-term. Wisdom will sustain the favor of God in your life. Because Solomon sought God for wisdom and knowledge, there was never a man before him nor after him as wise as he was nor wealthy. If you ever want to know how a successful person remains so, I assure you that wisdom was their compass. Always remember, wisdom is the answer key to understanding. Be blessed and encouraged!

"Let's Make One Thing Clear"

Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you to be a prophet to the nations."

In 2012, let's focus less on the NEW YEAR and more on the NEW YOU!! When God created you, He didn't consult with the Chamber of Commerce, the government, your state, nor your parents for that matter. God is God and He is God all by Himself! He has made that very clear to us through His Word-not the words of others. The plans God has for your life are PRE-MADE and not MAN-MADE. God isn't a rookie and has never professed to be one! He tells us directly in Jeremiah 29:11, that HE knows the thoughts that He thinks towards us and we can identify them from what man has planned by the way they are presented to us. God's plans are PRODUCTIVE-they will give us PEACE and not EVIL and they are PROSPEROUS-they give us a FUTURE and HOPE. .

The lesson God gave Jeremiah  is very prevalent and applicable to our own lives:

1.Before I formed you in the womb I knew you: God knew what He was forming before creating it. God is mindful of you and knew the purpose He had placed in your mother's womb before He purposed it. You were purposely purposed by God and He is the source to seek on why you were purposed and what is your purpose.

2.Before you were born I sanctified you: God made you different and separate from the world for a purpose. Stop trying to conform to a society that God has clearly made you separate from. Embrace the diversity and protection He has placed over your life. God doesn't create SIMPLE nor SIMILAR people. Be ye separate from the world!

3. I ordained you a prophet to the nations-God has already ordained the role He has for you. It's up to you to seek your calling and how to convey your gifts to the world. There is only one you and nobody but you can fulfill the calling God has placed inside of you. We can't OPERATE in our calling until we have sought the OPERATOR. In all things get an understanding, we are never too intelligent to not seek God's counsel.

Remember, God will use vessels to steer us in the right DIRECTION, but ultimately the DIRECTIVES come from Him. God doesn't seek nor want advice from others on WHO or WHAT He has planned for your life. Be blessed and encouraged!!

Duck, Duck, Goose!!!

Acts 20:24, "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy,and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

As a little girl, my least favorite game to play was Duck. Duck, Goose. I recall asking my elementary teachers often to allow me to opt out of playing the game. I didn't see the rationale behind allowing someone to walk around a circle, hit me on my head whether they chose me or not, and chasing the person. I have never been into playing games "literally nor figuratively" and this is a life lesson that is applicable for us all. In life, we can't allow circumstances, our families, nor enemies to move us! Similar to the duck duck goose game, we are not obligated to sit nor entertain  inner circles of people who don't have our best intentions and those whose primary agenda is to PICK OUT, to PICK ON. In 2012, we have to ensure we don't get caught up into child-like activities and that we opt out of circumstances that don't benefit us. It's only so many hits on the head that one should be willing to take, especially when it's unproductive, uncomfortable, and by no means furthers us into the direction of where God wants us to be to fulfill the personal calling He has placed on our lives. God desires for us to finish our race with joy, not for others to pass us along our journey in hopes of hindering us at their discretion. It's a New Year and a New You, the choice is yours in terms of whether you are going to play the orchestrated games of life, or opt out in expectancy of running an eternal race for Jesus. Be blessed and encouraged!!

"Purposed on Purpose"

Esther 4:14, "For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Esther 4:14, is a message Esther received from Mordecai concerning the future and well-being of her family and the challenges she would face if she decided to fight for them. God never says a word in the Book of Esther, however we know by faith that she had a personal relationship with Him and that also shows us that sometimes God is going to sit back and allow us to make life-changing decisions for ourselves and it's up to us to seek HIM and call upon Him while He is near.  Esther had the weight of her lineage on her shoulders and she had to make some tough decisions concerning if 1.She was willing to put her life on the line to save her generation 2. Was the effort worth making the effort 3. Was this the calling God had placed on her life or man?
In 2012, we all will face the same challenges that Esther had to face and it is up to us to determine if we are going to sit and not say anything and allow our households to crumble, or if we are going to WOMAN and MAN UP and restore our families or allow the enemy to destroy us. Man has no power or say so on what God has called, appointed, and anointed for you to do! We all have been called to the kingdom for such a time as this, but we have to be mindful and wise and ensure that the timing is in the Will of God and not man. Man will set you up to do things on purpose to make you fail, but the purpose God has for you He does on purpose! We often question what God has called for us to do and how we are to use our gifts, talents, and precede with our goals. The "Answer Key" lies in PRAYER, PATIENCE, and PERSEVERANCE.  Be blessed and encouraged in the Lord.

Peacefakers

Job 22:21, "Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you."

In times like these, we all need someone who is stable, consistent, and brings forth peace from simply knowing them and being around them. I would like to recommend you to the Lord! Malachi 3:6, states "For I am the Lord, I change not." God doesn't talk just to hear Himself talk, when He opens His mouth to speak it's nothing but the truth and it comes straight from His heart. We are often quick to mingle and introduce ourselves to people we don't know and it often develops into drama. But when we take the time to acquaint ourselves with God and develop a relationship with Him, peace automatically comes with the territory. According to Isaiah 26:3,God will keep those in perfect peace who keep their minds steadfast on Him and trust in Him." If we acquaint ourselves with God, it hinders the drama from having access into our lives because God's Word will cut it into pieces like a two-hedge sword. His Word says He is the Prince of Peace and we are to be peacemakers, not peacefakers! According to God's Word, the more we get to know Him, the more peace will come to our lives and good will come to us. When you get into relationship with God you can't help but have good people and good things overcome you. When we stay in the peace of God, we have the power to change the settings and the atmosphere we dwell in. People may be acting a fool, but when you walk in they automatically stop gossiping and get in order because the peace of God within you strikes a chord in them. Stress will age you before your time and make one mentally and spiritually sick. I encourage you to acquaint yourself more with Jesus and position yourself in expectancy mode for peace in every area of your life. It's much more beneficial to be in relationship with a peacemaker rather than a peacefaker.

"It's a Girl" !!!!!!

Proverbs 31: 29, "Many daughters have done virtuously, But thou excellest them all."

On March 17, 2006, Jason and I at the tender age of 20 went to our doctor's appointment to determine the sex of our first child. I secretly wanted a boy and Jason wanted a girl. From my standpoint at the time, it would be much easier to raise a son because I wouldn't be primarily accountable for how he turned out in terms of manhood. I knew that I would have to make major changes and embrace womanhood COMPLETELY if it was a girl. To my surprise, it was a GIRL and I immediately aborted the "GIRL IN ME." I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I would have to terminate the "girly Krystal" and embrace the birthing of my GROWN WOMAN. It was a process, but change doesn't come until one is willing to change. As Daughters of the King, we have a spiritual and moral obligation to equip our daughters with the Word of God and that starts by being a doer of His Word, not just a hearer. There are far too many young ladies having babies without the slightest clue of how they are to conduct themselves. It is disheartening to see so many young girls investing more time on "facebook" rather than in their child's "face."  As a society, many have taken the approach of "it's her baby, let her learn the hard way." Why do we allow them to learn the hard way? Wouldn't it be more practical to share our stories and challenges to lighten their load? Accountability and judging are separate entities and our daughters thirst for accountability in spite of their cries against it. As Daughters of the King, we have to focus on becoming the virtuous woman mentioned in Proverbs 31 and excel the misconceptions that our generation has transformed into a standard. God's Word is the standard and the measuring stick we should utilize to determine if we measure up. Be Blessed and Encouraged!

Do you have a Dream?

Monday, January 16, 2012, our nation will celebrate the life and tireless efforts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a man of God who devoted his life to fighting for inequality for not only African-Americans, but for humanity and the disadvantaged. As we reflect on the dream that was revealed to him by God, let us meditate on the vision that God has placed in our hearts and how we plan to bring them to fruition. We have to use our spiritual eyes and incline our ears to Him to ensure that we are fulfilling our personal call. The dream has been established and there is much work for us all to do to ensure that Dr. King's dream doesn't become a nightmare. Our youth are falling by the wayside and it is up to us to hold them accountable and display compassion. God, family, education, and common sense is the foundation for any man's success and we have got to get back to the good ol' days when men maintained jobs, attended church, provided for their families out of love-not because the Department of Human Resources mandates it, and were active participants in their households. Black Men used to be prevalent in the field of education and many attended college to become teachers to serve in their communities. My grandmother's generation were women who walked in integrity and served the Lord with gladness, maintained the spirit of peace in their households, and they wouldn't be caught dead in clothes that didn't cover them. We all have the spirit of excellence abiding within us that has transcended from generation to generation and I am confident that we too can become a generation that will be known for Restoring the Dream and Destroying the Current Nightmare. Be Blessed:)

Bring em' Out, Bring em' Out !!!

John 8:10-11, "When Jesus had  raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you? She said, "No one, Lord."And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

The story of the adulteress and Jesus is a powerful interaction that we should apply in our personal encounters on our daily walk of faith. The Scribes and Pharisees brought the young woman to Jesus after catching her in the very act of her sin and they used her sin as a means of  testing Jesus, it wasn't about the woman primarily. The Bible says, they brought up the law of Moses so that they would have something to accuse Jesus of-not necessarily the woman. When folks come at you, be wise and understand that you are only the vessel and that they are attacking the Christ in you-not you and God will handle them accordingly. When people come at you with something they feel doesn't fit their protocol or standards, don't say a mumbling word and allow Jesus to come down to their level to straighten them out, but more importantly bring em' out! The Bible says, Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger as though He didn't hear them. Jesus ain't thinking about nor listening to the foolishness people have to say about you and neither should you. The adulteress was wrong, but it wasn't for man to judge her, if Jesus finds fault with you, He will address you privately, men do things in public. Jesus is a gentlemen and He doesn't operate in foolishness!  When Jesus got up, her haters went down! Nobody was there but Him and the woman and He dealt with her one on one. The same rule and lesson is applicable in our lives, when we have given our sins to Jesus, leave them there and go forward with expectation of not repeating the same mistakes. You have nothing to prove to man, Jesus told her to go and sin no more, that meant she didn't have to go and explain herself to anybody, she simply needed to get it together. Always remember you may not have it all together, but all things work together for the good of them who are called according to His Purpose! Be Blessed and encouraged!

"Good and Full"

Ruth 3:3, "Therefore wash yourself and anoint yourself , put on your best garment and go down to the threshing floor; but do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking."

The story of Ruth and Naomi is a classic story that is often used as the foundation for how we are to position ourselves to be in alignment to receive our blessings from God. In Ruth 3:3, Naomi's instructions to Ruth were to prepare herself spiritually and physically for the blessing God was positioning her for. The first order Naomi gave Ruth was to wash and anoint herself. When we  are seeking our breakthrough from God, we must first ask God to create in us a clean heart and renew the right spirit within us, which is Christ. God moves swiftly on our behalf when we are open clean vessels, this clears the way for God to show up and show out! Anointing oneself is a necessary process when preparing to receive your blessing. Anointing one's self simply means getting under the submission of your First Husband and asking God's anointing to fall upon you and cover you from the devices that are not of God.  Secondly, Naomi told Ruth to put on her best garment and go to the threshing floor. When you are seeking God for your blessings, whether it is a spouse, new career, new baby, etc...we have to prepare ourselves as best as we can to go boldly before the throne of Grace in prayer. A threshing floor is a flat surface area where farmers thresh the grain harvest and winnow it. A threshing floor is also positioned near growing areas. When we are seeking favor and blessings, we have to allow God to take us through refinement and move things that are hindering us from growing in the areas that He desires to see us prosper. The last instructions Naomi gave Ruth was to not make herself known to the man until he had finished eating and drinking. Basically, don't pour yourself into someone or place yourself in a position with any human being until you have received confirmation from God concerning them being "Good and Full" meaning they are feasting off His Word and have drank of His goodness. Be Blessed!

"Excuse Me, I Believe That's Mine"

Numbers 27:4, "Why should the name of our father be removed from among his family because he had no son? Give us a possession among our father's brothers."

Numbers 27, discusses the 5 daughters of Zelophehad who made their petition to Moses concerning their inheritance. It was custom during their time for inheritance to be carried down from male to male, however under the law that God had entrusted to Moses, they were rightfully entitled to their blessing according to the Word of God-not the words of man. Because the daughters came boldly to Moses with what the Word of God promised them, Moses was moved to present their petition to God. God told Moses that the daughters spoke rightly and ordered Moses to give them a possession of inheritance among their father's brothers and to ensure that the inheritance of their father was passed directly to them. The same protocol is applicable to us as heirs of the Kingdom of God. The daughters didn't come at Moses acting a fool nor did they curse him out. They brought the facts and requested what was rightfully theirs according to the Word of God. As Daughters and Sons of the King, we have access to our God through Jesus Christ and He is sitting at the right hand of our Father interceding on our behalf. Go boldly to the throne of grace and bring back to God's remembrance what you are entitled to as His Big Girl and Big Boy. The Bible says, no good thing will he uphold from those who walk uprightly in Him. We have to be in order and be confident in going forward to receive our blessings from God. Know that seeking God and your blessing is a process and you may have to wait on others to go before you, but in the end God will ensure that people are aligned to provide you with your provision directly. Be Blessed and Encouraged!

Happy New Year !!!

Happy New Year !!! God has blessed us to see another year that was not promised to us! As we enter a new year, we should grasp those lessons that God equipped us with and apply them to our 2012 trials and triumphs. The circumstances and situations we had to endure were spiritual checkpoints that were essential for our growth. God keeps us at stand stills until He is sure we understand how we got ourselves into the problem, we recognize the affects of it, and to teach us that we are to lean on Him and not our own understanding. Don't grow discouraged when 2011 enemies and setbacks come at you, the Bible tells us in James 1:2, to count it all joy when we fall into various trials. In this New Year, expect God to throw you into pit stops. Walk by your faith and not by your natural sight so that when the various trials do occur, you are already equipped with the whole armor of God and His Word to bring you out of each trap the enemy sets for you. God assures us that He will bring us through and out of every trial. Secondly, it's never too late to separate yourself from people who don't have your best interest at heart. The Bible says from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Take what others say to you and about you at face value and be mindful of whom you give access to in 2012. Focus on the quality not quantity of friends. We only need 2 or 3 people in agreement with us for God to move in our lives. When Job faced his affliction, he had 3 friends who came to see about him and the Bible says they had an appointment together to come see Job. The friends' appointment represents they were "in order" and weren't coming just to be nosey. Ensure your inner circle are in order and are on one accord in terms of your well-being, your situation, and are willing to go the extra mile for you when you have to endure. Lastly, simply trust God in this New Year! The provisions have already been made and He is not slack concerning the promises He has for you. Be Blessed!
